Kyle has been in the health and performance industry since 2008 specializing in strength development and injury prevention or rehabilitation.
Kyle was born and raised in Vancouver's scenic North Shore, British Columbia. From a young age, he was constantly on the move, participating in activities such as hockey, soccer, mountain biking, rock climbing, trail running and skiing - fuelled by his deep love for physical activity.
As his athletic career began to wind down, Kyle sought a way to channel his passion for movement into a rewarding career. The study of Kinesiology seemed to be the perfect fit, enabling him to study human movement and keep his active spirit alive. He earned his Bachelor of Human Kinetics from UBC in 2010. During his studies, Kyle began his professional journey on the training floor with Twist Sport Conditioning in 2008, later transitioning to Level 10 Fitness & Health in 2014.
In 2021, Kyle founded Northwestern Performance, driven by his commitment to providing unparalleled support and guidance to his clients.
Kyle's passion for working with clients extends beyond the training floor to a deep commitment to educate and mentorship. this passion was ignited during his time at Twist Conditioning, where he discovered the fulfillment of teaching and guiding fellow personal trainers and strength coaches. To turn this enthusiasm into a professional pursuit, Kyle pursued a Master's degree at the California University of Pennsylvania. In 2015, he joined Capilano University's School of Kinesiology, where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of sports and health professionals.
Kyle remains dedicated to leading an active lifestyle, often enjoying outdoor adventures such as hiking with his pup, Sully. His motivation lies in helping his clients set ambitious goals and guiding them to success through his expert support and encouragement.

Sydney’s career in personal training began as a way to blend her two greatest passions: fitness and helping others. After gaining invaluable experience shadowing experts in the field, she launched her training career with Northwestern Performance in early 2024.
Sydney, a North Vancouver native, has been passionate about fitness and sports from an early age. True to her Canadian roots, she grew up playing and cheering for ice hockey, while also enjoying activities like hiking and group workouts with family and friends. Her lifelong love of movement and exercise naturally led her to pursue a Bachelor of Kinesiology at UBC, where she is currently in her final year and set to graduate in early 2025.
